The National Committee to Combat Human Trafficking (NCCHT) convened its second scheduled meeting of the year, under the leadership of HE Dr Ali bin Samikh Al Marri, Minister of Labour and Chairman of the Committee.
During this session, members engaged in discussions regarding the 2022 NCCHT annual report and the development of a strategy for the years 2023-2024, with a primary focus on bolstering efforts to combat human trafficking. The deliberations also revolved around recommendations aimed at enhancing the protection of trafficking victims, strengthening the Committee’s role in anti-trafficking initiatives, and promoting collaboration among relevant entities.
The Ministry of Labour launched the NCCHT website (www.ahtnc.gov.qa) in February of this year. This initiative aligns with the State of Qatar’s unwavering commitment to human rights and its proactive measures to combat human trafficking.
It is guided by the principles of the National Vision 2030 and underscores the Ministry of Labour’s emphasis on digital transformation, which contributes to streamlining transactions and improving public services.
