IN an expression of support and loyalty to Qatar and the Emir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani, Qatar Solar Technologies (QSTec) has installed 'Tamim Al Majd' mural boards at its offices in West Bay and Ras Laffan Industrial City, in addition to unveiling a large mural at its new polysilicon plant's headquarters.
"The 'Tamim Al Majd' mural has become an icon of unity for Qatar and its presence at our new polysilicon facility in Ras Laffan marks an important moment for QSTec," said Dr Khalid Klefeekh al Hajri, chairman and CEO of QSTec.
"As a symbol of QSTec's unwavering commitment to the Qatar National Vision (QNV) 2030 development goals, we are proud that our 'Tamim Al Majd' mural looks out on our 1.1 megawatt solar farm at our new polysilicon facility. We take great pride at being a global Qatari company that is shaping Qatar, the MENA region and the global solar industry's development," he added.
In line with the QNV 2030's goals, QSTec recently announced that it has finalised a deal with solar industry leaders, the German company SolarWorld, which will open up a host of solar manufacturing, research and development opportunities for Qatar, and accelerate the MENA solar industries' growth and energy diversification plans.
