One day after scoring a hat-trick in Bayern Munich’s 7-0 win against Bochum, top star Harry Kane joined the team’s traditional visit to the Oktoberfest on Sunday.

Alongside his team-mates, the club’s coaching staff and management, Kane dressed suitably in Lederhosen – the traditional leather breeches worn by men during the event.

Bayern were also celebrating a good start in the Champions League, with a 4-3 win over Manchester United in their group opener mid-week.

“Certainly a perfect weekend,” Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund said.

Oktoberfest expert Thomas Müller said: “Today we can sit at the table with a relaxed grin and just enjoy the moment. We were very happy with our win. And today we will toast to it accordingly.”

He said the players would drink a few beers to celebrate, but with moderation “because we’re playing again in two days.” Bayern play their German Cup first round game at Preußen Münster on Tuesday.

“We have another game in two days, but we’ll enjoy the day,” midfielder Jamal Musiala said.

Coach Thomas Tuchel, who recently revealed he doesn’t “drink beer at all,” was in good spirits and happy with the “tasty food” and stressed he would find something to drink.
