Pakistanis working at Qatar Petrochemical Company (QAPCO) organised a colourful function to bid farewell to their colleagues Sheraz Ahmed Bakali, Khalid Bhatti and Shahzad Anwar.

Yasir Riaz, Aamir Iqbal, Shakeel Rana, Saeed khan, Irshad Rao and Sekander Ghouri recalled the memorable moments they shared with them during their long stay in Qatar spanning around three decades. The speakers extended their good wishes to them in their future endeavours and appreciated their devotion and sincerity towards their friends and colleagues.

Sheraz Bakali regaled the audience with a poem he wrote for the company, which was also printed in QAPCO’s publication. Bakali is a self-taught poet and published his first book ‘Sang e Meel’ in 2011. He brought out his second book ‘Mohabbatoun Ke Safeer’ recently.

On the other hand, Khalid Bhatti will always be remembered by his colleagues and community friends for his social activities. An ardent cricket player, Bhatti led the QAPCO cricket team as captain and won many laurels. He was always at the forefront whenever community members organised welfare activities.

Bakali and Bhatti praised their colleagues and QAPCO management for the support they received during their long stay in Qatar.

They especially thanked the Pakistani community in QAPCO and noted that they were leaving with fondmemories.
