Qatar Finance and Business Academy (QFBA), in cooperation with the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) Authority, launched the new academic term of its Kawader programme for the fifth consecutive year, a press statement said on Tuesday.
The programme, which kicked off on September 10, will conclude on December 14, and features 31 newly graduated Qatari students and talented young professionals, who will undergo a three-month intensive training course designed to develop skills, personality and professional capacities, the statement noted.
Dr Mohammed Abdulla al Emadi, Acting CEO of QFBA, said,"This edition comes in the context of continuing the remarkable success of the Kawader programme in its previous terms.
"A number of talented Qatari students will acquire knowledge and practical training in the fields of finance and business, paving the way to become successful professionals, entrepreneurs and decision-makers and assume key positions in the country's vital financial services sector."
He added,"The programme comes within the framework of Qatar's human capital development, which is a key pillar in the development of the national economy."
Yousuf Mohamed al Jaida, CEO of QFC Authority, said:"The banking and financial services sector is one of Qatar's key sectors that will continue to flourish, which is why it is crucial we have the right local talent to ensure the continuous growth of this sector.
"At the QFC, we take pride in QFBA's Kawader programme, which is dedicated towards shaping Qatar's young business and financial leaders and helping to ensure a successful future for our nation."
The Kawader programme adopts a unique approach that combines theoretical and vocational training in the workplace, giving students an in-depth look at the institutions of the financial services sector in which they are poised to be recruited in the future.
