In cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, the Qatar Financial Markets Authority organized an introductory and awareness seminar for school students (both males and females) over the course of two days. This seminar is part of a series of introductory and awareness campaigns held by the QFMA for the various sectors of investors including the prospective future investors comprised of the youth at schools and universities.

The seminar, which was presented by Ms. Mazyuna Al Naimi, Director of the Human Resources Department at the QFMA, explained in detail the missions and competencies of the QFMA as it is concerned with the regulation, supervision and monitoring of the Qatari financial market, upgrading the level of its performance, maintaining its stability, and enhancing its growth to be at the forefront of financial markets both at the regional and international levels. The seminar also shed light on the importance of investment and its different tools for students and the significance of inculcating an investment culture and cultivating awareness amongst them about the capital market.

At the end of the seminar, Ms. Al Naimi invited the students to actively participate in the GCC Smart Investor Award approved by the General Assembly of the GCC within the framework of the initiatives of the GCC program for investment awareness (Mulim). Their participation in the award will contribute in realizing the desired goals of the GCC financial markets’ regulators in terms of producing creative ideas that result in enriching the awareness-oriented content and deepening the level of investment understanding.
