Qatar's bowling team is preparing to participate in the fifth Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games which will be held in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan.
The Qatari delegation will leave Doha on Sunday to Ashgabat with four players: Jassem al Muraikhi, Ghanem Abu Jassum, Yousef al Jaber and Saud Abdulaziz, alongside coach Pedro Mirani and his assistant Khalifa al Kubaisi.
Secretary-General of Qatar Bowling Federation Ahmad Shahin said the Qatari team, which finished eighth at the Sweden Open Championship in August, has prepared well for the Asian championship.
He added that team had a good performance in Sweden as the tournament saw the participation of the best classifieds players in the world.
Shahin said the Qatari team is expected to post good results in Turkmenistan.
"We will be participating in the singles and doubles competitions," Shahin said.
A total of 53 athletes from various sport disciplines will represent Qatar at the Asian Indoor Games.
