DOHA: Minister of Commerce and Industry HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al Thani and Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan HE Serik Zhumangarin chaired the sixth session of the Qatar-Kazakhstan Joint Higher Committee held in Doha on Tuesday.
The Minister of Commerce and Industry commended the strong historical friendship, mutual respect, and bilateral cooperation between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Kazakhstan. He emphasized Qatar's commitment to developing productive cooperation mechanisms and exploring new avenues for collaboration to harness available potential and opportunities in both countries.
Henoted that this meeting represented an important opportunity to review the progress achieved since the previous session of the Joint Committee in 2020 and reflected the mutual commitment of both sides to continue efforts to enhance cooperation between the two countries.
His Excellency highlighted the investment opportunities provided by the State of Qatar to investors and praised the significant role played by Kazakhstani companies in supporting the national economy. He called on Kazakhstani investors and companies to explore the available opportunities and leverage them to establish investment partnerships rooted in the shared visions and objectives of both countries.
During the sixth session of the Qatar-Kazakhstan Joint Higher Committee, the two sides reviewed areas of cooperation in various sectors of mutual interest.
They discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, construction, infrastructure, agriculture, maritime transport, civil aviation, healthcare, education, and information technology.Both parties agreed to take the necessary steps to advance commercial, investment, and industrial cooperation to increase trade volume and facilitate the flow of goods, services, and investments between the two countries.
