3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum successfully put together a pop-up exhibition titled ‘The Race Begins: Formula 1’ at the Formula 1 Qatar Grand Prix 2023, in collaboration with Lusail International Circuit (LIC), as Qatar geared to host F1 over the next decade.
‘The Race Begins: Formula 1’ exhibition, which was on view from October 6 to 8 at The Paddock Club, Lusail International Circuit, provided F1 ticket holders with the opportunity to encounter iconic pieces of F1 history, including the Ferrari F1-2000 Formula 1 Racing car driven to victory by Michael Schumacher in the 2000 European Grand Prix races, Michael Schumacher’s Ferrari Suit, and the first helmet of F1 legend, Ayrton Senna.
"Formula 1 has grown to become one of the most exciting and most watched sports. To celebrate this, we created a memorable exhibition to coincide with the Formula 1 Qatar Grand Prix 2023, so that, along with its remarkable history, we could also showcase a glimpse of how Qatar has prepared to host this mega sporting event through our exhibition,” said Director of 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum, Abdulla Yousuf Al Mulla. "There could not have been a more appropriate venue, as the iconic circuit brought all the F1 fans together to one place, further showing them that our museum can give them a taste of this experience at any time during the year at 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum.”
‘The Race Begins: Formula 1’ exhibition explored the history of the races and relived the iconic circuits, unforgettable races as well as the racing legends for its visitors. The exhibition was housed at the Lusail International Circuit with an extension at Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum through a trail map to the museum’s Gallery 4, Gallery 5 and 6.
