A synthetic grass football field for juniors, a multipurpose indoor court and a gymnasium were inaugurated by body-building champion Dominic Durueke at MES. The facilities are additions the school's floodlit synthetic track, football field, and aqua complex.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by MES Governing Board General Secretary Aneesh PA, Secretary and Transport Director Hazmal Ismail and Finance and Sports and Games Director Ahamed Isham. Governing Body members Usman AT, Faisal Mayan, Ashraf Sharafudheen and Mohamed Rafeek were also present.
"The school lays great emphasis on physical activity among its students as it fine-tunes their ability to perform well academically apart from instilling discipline," said the Principal Hameeda Kadar.
An exhibition football match between the Red and Green Houses was held. Physical Education Department Head Akbar Ali coordinated the ceremony while Class IV-H student Mohammed Ryan proposed the vote of thanks.
