Bhavan's Public School celebrated International Day of Peace with the aim to inspire its students to make a positive difference in the world. Students and the teachers spoke about secularism and the importance of peace. On the senior campus, Gautham M spoke about issues faced by refugees.
Students staged a thematic play, a dance programme depicting this year's theme 'Together for Peace: Respect, Safety and Dignity for All' and presented a song. Collage-making and craft-work was conducted on the three campuses addressing the theme 'peace'.
Principal MP Philip reminded the students about the need for peace saying,"peace starts with a smile." He also said that all efforts to spread humanity must be considered supremely divine. Headmistress Shailaja Krishna Kumar and Asha Shiju stressed the importance of respect, safety and dignity.
