CAIRO: The Doha-based Arab Network for National Human Rights Institutions (ANNHRI) discussed with the Arab League the developments in Gaza and the activity of ANNHRI in supporting the endeavours for breaking the siege of Gaza.
This is in addition to identifying the avenues for effective action required from national institutions to support and align with this cause.
This came during the meeting between ANNHRI Secretary-General Sultan bin Hassan Al Jamali and Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit in which they discussed ANNHRI's plans to organize several visits to rally support for espousing the cause of Palestine and halt the violations perpetrated by the Israeli occupation in the entire Palestinian territory.
ANNHRI has addressed the UN Secretary-General to issue a statement that calls for stopping the aggression on Gaza immediately.
