DOHA: The Department of Meteorology has issued its daily weather report for Doha, and it seems like residents can expect a change in weather conditions throughout the day.

Inshore, the weather is predicted to start the day with mist and fog in some areas, which might affect horizontal visibility. However, as the day progresses, the mist will give way to hot weather with local cloud cover.

This transition from fog to a clearer, yet hot climate is anticipated to impact visibility in some locations. For those venturing offshore, the report indicates that the day will see hazy conditions at times with intermittent clouds.

The wind patterns inshore are expected to shift from southerly, blowing at speeds of less than 5 knots initially, to northwesterly and northeasterly, with speeds ranging from 5 to 15 knots, potentially increasing to 20 knots by noon. Offshore, the wind will exhibit similar variability, changing from a calm start to northwesterly and northeasterly winds at speeds of 5 to 15 knots.

In terms of visibility, it is expected to range from 4 to 8 kilometers in some places, with even lower visibility during the morning hours. This calls for caution and awareness among those commuting within the affected areas.

For those planning maritime activities, the sea state inshore is predicted to be relatively calm, with waves measuring between 1 to 3 feet, while offshore conditions may see slightly larger waves ranging from 2 to 4 feet.

Residents are advised to stay updated with the latest weather information, take necessary precautions, and be prepared for changing weather conditions throughout the day.
