Unfazed by the unjust siege imposed on Qatar by the Saudi-led bloc, Hassad Food has started exporting dates to India. The first shipment of dates from Qatar arrived in India on Friday.
"It is our pleasure to open bridges of business cooperation with our friendly country India. This demonstrates the strength and stability of Qatar's economy, as Hassad was able to begin exports in the food sector despite the unjust blockade on Qatar," Hassad Food CEO Mohamed Badr al Sadah said in a press statement on Monday.
"We are planning to increase the number of shipments to India as well as other countries," he added.
Hassad Food also supports local farmers by purchasing dates from them, with the aim of promoting local production.
