DOHA: The Qatar Meteorology Department has issued a cautionary report, predicting potentially disruptive weather conditions in the region.

According to the department's daily weather report, inshore areas are expected to experience hazy and relatively hot daytime weather. Residents are advised to be prepared for scattered rain, which may at times turn thundery, and could be accompanied by blowing dust, impacting visibility.

The Meteorology Department has further warned of thundery rain occurring in various places during the daytime, along with the possibility of strong winds that may affect visibility. Inshore winds are forecasted to be mainly northeasterly to southeasterly, ranging between 5 to 15 knots, with occasional gusts reaching up to 35 knots in areas experiencing thundery rain.

Offshore conditions are expected to be hazy with scattered clouds, occasionally becoming partly cloudy. Offshore winds will vary, predominantly being northeasterly to southeasterly at speeds between 3 to 13 knots, with gusts reaching up to 18 knots at times.

The department has also highlighted that visibility in inshore areas will be between 4 to 8 kilometers, with some locations experiencing reduced visibility to as low as 2 kilometers or less during adverse conditions. Offshore visibility is expected to be in the range of 4 to 8 kilometers.

Mariners are advised to take note of the sea state conditions. Inshore sea state is predicted to be between 1 to 2 feet, with intermittent rises to 4 feet during the occurrence of severe weather. Offshore, the sea state will be between 1 to 3 feet, occasionally rising to 5 feet during adverse weather conditions.
