Many parts of the country experienced heavy rain accompanied by thunder on Thursday evening which caused traffic jams. A hail storm was reported in Rawdat Al Hamama in the municipality of Al Daayen, while some area were flooded. The Ministry of Interior advised for the use of alternative roads due to traffic congestion along the Salwa Road, Sabah Al Ahmad Corridor and the February 22 Road. Qatar Meteorology Department has forecast thundery rains with strong winds for Friday as well.
