Doha
Central, western and eastern parts of Qatar received scattered rain on Sunday morning, with the Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD) predicting more until the noon.
A relatively hot weather is forecast for the day, which the QMD said will be partly cloudy with northwesterly fresh-to-strong wind gusts blowing up dust and making the sea choppy.
In its weekend weather report, QMD had said the northwesterly wind and the dust will lower visibility to less than 2 kilometres, especially in open areas, and might cause the waves to rise as high as 10 feet in some areas offshore. Qatar Meteorology Department also called for caution as this period is characterised by a lot of weather fluctuations.
