Defending champions Al Rayyan, Al Gharafa teams scored valuable wins over Al Khor and Al Shamalrespectively in the second round of the Qatar Men’s Basketball League Championship for 2023-2024 at the Al Gharafa Hall on Tuesday evening.While Al Rayyan beat Al Khor 76-57, Al Gharafa edged Al Shamal 79-78. For Al Rayyan, Mohammed Abdulaziz was the player of the match scoring 17 points, recovering the ball twice and providing four assists. It is noteworthy that the Qatar Men’s Basketball League Championship this season is being held under a two-section league system with the title being won by the team with most points, unlike last season, which was held in a "playoff” system. A total of nine teams are competing in the league this season. Al Rayyan had won basketball league last season for a record 18th time.
