PARIS: Minister of Education and Higher Education HE Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi met with Qatari students studying in France, Spain, and Portugal during her participation in the 42nd General Conference of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) currently being held at the organization's headquarters in Paris, France.
The meeting covered academic matters concerning the students, exploring their majors and the nature of their studies. The discussions also highlighted the opportunities and career options awaiting them to contribute to achieving Qatar National Vision 2030.
The minister took the opportunity to listen to the students' opinions and inquiries to know the challenges they face. She emphasized the ministry's commitment to providing all that contributes to the success of their academic journey.
The minister encouraged the students to strive for academic excellence and to leverage their study experience beyond academic achievements.
She urged the Qatari students to engage with the local communities and benefit from cumulative experiences during their learning period, commending their role as ambassadors for Qatar who reflect its values, principles, customs, and traditions.
On the sidelines of the 42nd UNESCO General Conference, Al Nuaimi also met with Minister of National Education and Vocational Training of the Republic of Djibouti Mustafa Mohamed Mahmoud, Minister of Education, Sports, and Creative Industries of Antigua and Barbuda Drayll Sylvester Matthew, Minister of Education in the Republic of Tunisia Mohamed Ali Boughdiri, and Vice-Minister of Investigation and Application of Knowledge for Science and Technology in the Republic of Venezuela Francisco Duran.
The ministerial meetings discussed areas of cooperation in the fields of education and higher education.
