With barely a week of preparation, the month-long celebration for the 13th anniversary of Pinoy Fiesta (PF), a top Filipino dining destination in Qatar, literally ended on a high note as it organised ‘The Pinoy Fiesta Voice Videoke Singing Challenge’ for Filipino singing talents in Doha.
PF organisers and a team of talented people joined hands to create an amazing duel of fantastic voices unheard in Qatar.
According to Prince William Aresgado, the main event organiser, the PF team approached him to arrange the overall program flow in celebration of their 13th year in the industry.
PF organisers worked hand in hand to make it happen despite the last-minute preparations. The team only aimed for a small group of contenders but they were overwhelmed with the response from the public as they received more than 100 entries.
Not just one, but two Elimination Nights unleashed the voices of the duos who battled to advance to the championship round. Meanwhile, other contestants competed for the wild card competition to shortlist them as top contenders for the finals.
Half of the initial number of participants passed the audition and were grouped into duets. The contenders with previous participation in singing competitions were paired with first timers to give them a chance to shine during the competition.
The Royal Duo Mar Dulay and Jenna Ramos emerged as this year’s PF Voice Grand Champion and People’s Choice Award Winner. The first place award was given to The Angels Team – Lourdes Torno and Arwen Pepito.
PF aimed at building friendship and camaraderie during the contest through a series of orientations and workshops, where the contenders openly shared their views and aspirations to the organisers.
