The Department of Hajj and Umrah Affairs will conduct on Wednesday the electronic sorting process to select candidates to perform the Hajj for this year 1445 AH. This was announced by the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf) on Tuesday.
In a statement, the ministry explained that the Department of Hajj and Umrah Affairs will send text messages (SMS) to the people whose applications to perform Hajj have been accepted to enable them to communicate and register with the approved Hajj campaign offices and complete the required procedures.
The ministry noted that approvals are given for only one week, during which the candidate must register with one of the approved 23 campaigns listed in the electronic Hajj and Umrah Affairs Management System www.hajj.gov.qa, urging all people to be aware of the prices and services provided by campaigns.
The ministry also stated that the number of requests from those registered in the Hajj system and those wishing to perform the Hajj this year reached 20,774 requests.
It pointed out that in the event of any inquiries or comments from those registered to perform the Hajj or from the public, anyone can contact the hotline of the Department of Hajj and Umrah Affairs (132).
