Mick Schumacher joins Alpine endurance team

Racing driver Mick Schumacher has joined the Alpine Hypercar team for the 2024 FIA World Endurance Championship, the team said on Wednesday. “Let’s go racing together! Excited to be part of the new Hypercar chapter in Alpine’s endurance racing history,” the son of seven-time Formula One champion Michael Schumacher said on X, formerly Twitter. Schumacher, however, will retain his reserve driver role with Mercedes, the Formula One team said. The World Endurance Championship includes the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans. (DPA)
