MES Indian School won the overall championship in the Boys' and Girls' categories in the CBSE Qatar Cluster Volleyball Tournament held recently. Out of four categories, MES won three finals and a runner-up position. The Under-17 Boys' team won against Ideal Indian School in two straight sets scoring 25-18 and 25-23. The Under-19 Boys' team also won in a similar fashion defeating Ideal Indian School and scoring 25-18, 25-20. In the Under-19 Girls' category, MES won against Birla Public School in straight sets to clinch the title while the MES Under-17 Girls' team was the first runner-up in the tournament. With the wins, the Boys' Under-17 and Under-19, as well as the Girls' Under-19 qualified for the nationals to be held in Delhi, India.
Physical Education teachers Salim J Nadaf and Shani coached the Boys' and Girls' teams respectively. Principal Hameeda Kadar congratulated the winners and wished them the best for the nationals.
