The University of Calgary in Qatar (UCQ) has welcomed Abdullah bin Hamad al Attiyah, chairman of Abdullah Bin Hamad Al Attiyah International Foundation for Energy and Sustainable Development, to its campus, where he addressed a group of visiting students from the University of Calgary's Haskayne Global Energy Executive MBA programme.
Attiyah discussed the history of Qatar's energy industry and the challenges facing sustainable development around the world."There is a shortage of qualified manpower in the energy industry worldwide, and the Haskayne School of Business has contributed to preparing graduates to serve a shifting world," he said.
Attiyah shared valuable insights from his 40 years in the energy industry with the visiting students.

The Abdullah Bin Hamad Al Attiyah Foundation is a non-profit organisation established to preserve and build on Attiyah's 40 years of service in the energy industry. His legacy includes important roles in a variety of senior leadership positions with the Government of Qatar and the international community on issues confronting humanity, including climate change and sustainable development.
The Global Energy Executive MBA programme at the Haskayne School of Business aims to transform the international energy industry by preparing the next generation of leaders for its complex and evolving challenges. This unique programme combines academic excellence with deep energy industry expertise.
