EL ARISH: Two planes belonging to the Qatari Armed Forces arrived in the city of El Arish in Egypt on Sunday, carrying 27 tonnes of aid, including food supplies provided by the Qatar Fund for Development, the Qatar Red Crescent, Qatar Charity, and the Organizing Committee of Christian Churches, in preparation for their transport to Gaza.
Qatar has so far dispatched 37 aircraft with a total of 1,219 tonnes of aid.
The Organizing Committee of Christian Churches had submitted a request to Qatar to deliver aid in solidarity with the brotherly Palestinian people inside the Gaza Strip, who suffer from a severe shortage of basic needs as a result of the ongoing war and the difficulty of entering aid.
The aid was received at El Arish International Airport by Minister of State for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs HE Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater.
This humanitarian aid comes within the framework of Qatar’s support for the Palestinian people during the difficult humanitarian circumstances they are currently exposed to.
