Fifty One East's Bridal Lounge opened recently at Lagoona mall, even as a string quartet, dressed in white, set the mood for the launch and provided the right ambience for the guests.
The Bridal Lounge is a concept store that gives the customer space to choose not just the dress but also offers services like helping select the venue, choosing flowers, caterers and more.
As we often see in movies, choosing a wedding gown is one of the highlights of preparing for a wedding. The bride tries on a number of dresses, even doing her own little fashion show, while her friends rate the dresses as good or bad.
The Bridal Lounge will remind guests and clients of those scenes from a movie when they enter it. Its pristine white interiors and crystal chandelier makes it look sophisticated and classy. The lounge has a make-up room where clients can have a preview of what their make-up could look like on their big day. There is also an alteration room where dresses can be fixed to fit the brides perfectly.
Fifty One East Chairman and Managing Director Bader al Darwish, together with other key officials, led the ribbon-cutting ceremony."We have combined the trusted expertise of Fifty One East with the knowledge of the best bridal experts in the market and the stunning work of premium designers to create the ultimate destination that offers a truly personalised service to each and every bride," said Darwish in his opening remarks.
"The bridal lounge is a one-stop destination created to make sure each customer feels like they are the most important in the world, which, as we know, is true for every bride," he added. Darwish introduced guest of honour and international fashion designer Naeem Khan, who joined the event to showcase some latest creations."Today you're going to see the fashion show which is from Spring 2018 and the most unique bridal dresses. Thank you for having me and I'm honoured to be here," Khan said. The runway set up for his fashion show was lit with lights and looked like a tunnel covered in white flowers.
Guests were allowed to enter the Bridal Lounge a few minutes after its inauguration and before the fashion show began. A member of Fifty One East's staff kindly toured guests and gave brief explanations about the rooms inside. Upon entering the lounge, the first room that guests step into is the reception area, the one next to that is the consultation room where clients can discuss their wishes for their dream bridal gown.
One area is occupied by several closets filled with gowns from world-class designers such as Carolina Herrera, Oscar de la Renta, Marchesa, and even some from the guest of honour himself, to name a few. There are two small fitting rooms and a third larger one which can accommodate family or friends of the bride, if they would like to see her in the wedding gown she chooses.
