E-commerce platform Turkish Souq, which will be providing the Qatari market with up to 5 million high-quality Turkish products, was launched on Tuesday.
The online platform, which is scheduled to be available for the Qatari market from January 1, 2018, was launched by Minister of Transport and Communications HE Jassim Saif Ahmed al Sulaiti and his Turkish counterpart Ahmet Arslan in Antalya.
At a press briefing on the sidelines of the International E-Commerce Conference in Turkey, Sulaiti emphasised the depth of Qatari-Turkish relations and cooperation in the fields of post, transport, ports and aviation. He said the coming days will witness the signing of a cooperation agreement between the two countries.
Turkish minister Arslan affirmed developing bilateral relations in the fields of transport, communications and aviation to the highest level. He said the national carriers in both the countries are among the top carriers in the world.
He said Qatar has obtained air transport routes to make flights to Trabzon, Bodrum, Adana and Antalya.
Arslan said a tripartite agreement will be signed soon in the field of transport between Turkey, Qatar and Iran, which would help accelerate commodity delivery and facilitate trade exchange between the two countries.
