THE Public Works Authority (Ashghal) will fully close Al Hamd Street from Al Wajbah Roundabout to Ermaila Street to complete road construction and utility works, the Authority has announced.
The proposed road closure, which is located in local roads to the south of Education City, has been designed in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic.
The closure will commence on Friday, November 24, 2017, and will last until May 2018.
During this period, road users travelling from Al Shafi Street who would normally access Al Wajbah Street via Al Hamd Street and vice versa will be required use to Ermaila Street instead and follow the diversion route.
A 260-metre section of Al Hamd Street connecting Al Shafi Street and Ermaila Street will remain open and facilitate 2-way traffic flow. (TNN)
