DOHA:Qatar on Wednesday pledged $50 million at the Global Refugee Forum, organised by the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, in response to the increasing humanitarian crisis in the occupied Palestinian territories. The pledge is aimed at refugees, displaced people, injured individuals, orphans, and others affected by the aggression on Gaza.
This was announced by Minister of State for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs HE Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater on X platform.
"I also announced, on behalf of the Education Above All Foundation, their new initiative to provide 100 University scholarships for students from Gaza to continue their education in Qatar through Al-Fakhoora programme,” Al Khater said.
