QNA JeddahThe Amir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on Saturday participated in the Jeddah Security and Development Summit along with leaders of GCC member states, HM King Abdullah II bin Hussein of Jordan, President of Egypt Abdel Fattah El Sisi, President of the United States of America Joe Biden and Prime Minister of Iraq Mustafa Al Kadhimi.The summit was held at King Abdulaziz International Conference Center in Jeddah.On the sidelines of the summit, HH the Amir met with Crown Prince of Kuwait HH Sheikh Mishal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah.At the outset of the meeting, HH Crown Prince of Kuwait conveyed the greetings of HH the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah and his wishes of continued progress and prosperity for HH the Amir and the Qatari people.For his part, HH the Amir entrusted HH Sheikh Mishal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah with his greetings and wishes of more progress and development to the Amir of Kuwait and the Kuwaiti people.The meeting also reviewed bilateral relations and the means to enhance them for the benefit of the two countries and peoples, in addition to the latest regional and international developments. HH the Amir also met with Prime Minister of Iraq Mustafa Al Kadhimi.At the beginning of the meeting, the Iraqi Prime Minister conveyed the greetings of President of Iraq Dr Barham Salih and his wishes of good health and happiness for HH the Amir and continued progress and prosperity for the Qatari people.For his part, HH the Amir entrusted the Iraqi Prime Minister with his greetings to the president of Iraq and his wishes of good health and wellness to HH the Amir, and more progress and prosperity for the Iraqi people.The meeting reviewed bilateral cooperation and the means to enhance them, in addition to the latest regional and international developments of joint interest. HH the Amir later attended a luncheon banquet held by Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of Saudi Arabia HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in honour of the state leaders and heads of delegations participating in the Jeddah Security and Development Summit at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center in Jeddah. The Amir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani left Jeddah after participating in the Jeddah Security and Development Summit.HH the Amir sent a cable to both the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia and Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence HRM Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, in which he expressed his thanks and appreciation for the hospitality and warm welcome he and the accompanying delegation received during his participation in the Jeddah Security and Development Summit. He praised the efforts of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince which contributed to the summit’s positive outcomes, expressing his wishes of good health, happiness, success to the Saudi king and the Crown Prince, and continued progress for Saudi Arabia.
