Mercure Hotel Doha recently celebrated the 50th Anniversary of the group company, AccorHotels. The theme of the event was #WelcomeHeroes and it signified opening doors to everyday heroes like cvil defence personnel, ambulance service staff, doctors, nurses, municipality staff, teachers and others who have been serving the community on a daily basis.
The event was graced by the Ambassador of France to Qatar HE Eric Chevallier, who was welcomed by Mercure General Manager Sebastien Vincent. Vincent spoke about how two friends, Paul Dubrule and G`rard P`lisson, opened their first Novotel in 1967 that has grown to more than 4,200 hotels worldwide in 95 countries representing different brands and having a team of more than 250,000 dedicated staff with a purposeful and heartfelt mission to make every guest feel welcome.
