Since the outbreak of the crisis in Gaza, Qatar Charity (QC) has launched solidarity campaigns with the Palestinian people to alleviate the severity and difficulty of the circumstances they are going through.

The first of these is the ‘For Palestine’ campaign. It also launched the ‘One Heart’ campaign to confront the dangers of winter, focusing primarily on the Gaza Strip and Palestine. Within the same campaign, Qatar Charity launched the ‘10 Aid Aircraft for Palestine initiative.

The donations exceeded expectations and were able to exceed the goal, as it succeeded in equipping 20 aircraft for QR20 million.

These campaigns culminated in participation in the ‘Palestine Duty Relief’ campaign on Qatari National Day, where Qatar Charity was able to raise over QR200 million.

In parallel with these campaigns, Qatar Charity began providing aid to those affected in the Gaza Strip and it continues to this day.

In light of the great shortage of potable water, food and shelter supplies, fuel, health services, medicine and hygiene supplies, Qatar Charity provided relief aid that was shipped via the air bridge from Doha to Al-Arish, amounting to about 225 tonnes benefiting 224,000 people, at a cost exceeding QR2.8 million.

The urgent relief projects under implementation include hot meals, food baskets, emergency food response, blankets, winter clothing, shelter, children’s supplies, and the provision of fuel for hospitals, medicines, medical supplies, water, personal hygiene bags, and personal hygiene bags for women, from which about 936,000 people benefited at a cost of over QR21.5 million.

Qatar Charity also participated in a campaign organised by the Regulatory Authority for Charitable Activities in Qatar in partnership with Qatar Charity and the Qatar Red Crescent Society, and in cooperation with the Qatar Media Corporation, to support Gaza.

The campaign succeeded in raising more than QR200 million.

Given the tragic conditions faced by the residents of Gaza, Qatar Charity continues to receive donations to provide them with urgent relief materials.

Qatar Charity urges good people in Qatar, including citizens and residents, to continue solidarity with Gaza.
