The Civil Service and Government Development Bureau (CSGDB) on Sunday launched the unified platform for managing and unifying the customer experience (Sharek), which will provide several advantages to the customer, employee, supervisor, and decision makers.

In a statement, CSGDB explained that the “Sharek” platform will establish a new stage in the history of government services by saving time and effort and facilitating procedures with the support of artificial intelligence. As many as40 government agencies have been linked through channels of service provision and communication with customers.

Abdulaziz bin Nasser bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau, said, “The Sharek platform was launched as part of a comprehensive strategy towards improving the efficiency of providing government services to improve the experiences of customers in the country, and improve their access to government services smoothly and effectively.”

He added that the platform contributes as an essential element within the path of the Government Excellence Programme and provides clear mechanisms for those dealing with the government in all fields to facilitate them, communicate their voice, take their suggestions and contribute to government development.

He said customers constitute an essential element in the improvements required to reach the best desired service.

In this context, Raed Ibrahim Al-Emadi, Director of Government Development Affairs at the CSGDB, confirmed that the application of the “Sharek” platform aims to change the current concept of government service provided primarily to customers and to all other parties contributing to the journey, from service employees and decision makers.

He pointed out that the platform is one of the most important stages of the “Sharek” project, which will contribute to the process of making sound decisions regarding government services, measuring them and developing them, stressing the importance of the step of linking the “Sharek” platform to all government agencies providing services.

It is noteworthy that during the first phase of the platform, it was linked with all government service centres, as well as the services provided by the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau, with the aim of providing a unified digital experience for those dealing with government agencies, improving the communication mechanism with them, and reducing the response time to their requests.

He explained that the electronic participation platform was designed based on the United Nations standards for electronic participation, and the page visitor can share opinions on multiple topics.
