DOHA: Residents of Doha are advised to brace themselves for misty and foggy weather conditions on Tuesday, with visibility expected to be reduced in certain areas.

The Qatar Meteorological Department has issued a weather forecast indicating that the day will start with mist and fog in some places, gradually giving way to moderate weather during the daytime. As the night approaches, the temperature is anticipated to drop, bringing relatively colder conditions.

Offshore areas are also expected to experience changes in weather patterns. Initially, there will be some clouds, which are predicted to disperse later in the day, leaving clearer skies.

In terms of wind conditions, inshore areas can expect a Northwesterly wind ranging from 6 to 16 knots, occasionally gusting to 22 knots. Offshore, the wind will start at Northwesterly 5-15 knots, increasing to 18-28 knots by the afternoon.

Visibility inshore is projected to be between 4 to 8 kilometers or less in certain areas during the initial hours. Offshore visibility is estimated to be between 5 to 9 kilometers. Mariners and sea enthusiasts are advised to take note of these conditions.

Sea states are also expected to vary throughout the day. Inshore, the sea state will start at 1-2 feet, rising to 4-5 feet by the afternoon. Offshore, the sea state will begin at 2-4 feet, increasing to 5-8 feet later in the day.

Residents and commuters are urged to exercise caution, especially during the morning hours when mist and fog are prevalent, and to stay updated with the latest weather information provided by the authorities. Safe driving and navigation practices at sea are recommended to ensure the well-being of all.
