DOHA: Qatar Meteorology Department has issued a marine warning effective today, December 26, through the weekend due to anticipated strong winds and high seas.
According to the latest weather update from the Meteorology Department, the nation is expected to experience fresh northwesterly winds intensifying offshore from this afternoon until the weekend. During this period, sea heights are projected to vary between 3-6 ft, rising to 8 ft.
The department has strongly advised the public to exercise caution and refrain from engaging in any marine activities during this weather event.
