INJAZ Qatar held a ceremony to mark the organisation's 10 years in Qatar, in Doha on Tuesday.
Held under the patronage of the Prime Minister HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al Thani, the ceremony was attended by key dignitaries
Injaz Qatar is a non-profit organisation and a member of Junior Achievement Worldwide. It is also part of Injaz Al Arab, a network of 14 Middle Eastern and North African countries working on a common mission to prepare and inspire young Arabs to succeed in a global economy.
"Each year, and with each generation, Qatar's young people are becoming more ambitious and thirstier for remarkable success to leave their mark, not only in Qatar, but globally," said INJAZ Qatar Chairperson Sheikha Hanadi bint Nasser bin Khaled al Thani.
"Our priority has, and always will be, to provide youth with the skills and mindset they need to become the business leaders and entrepreneurs stimulating their communities," she added.
"Injaz Qatar's 10 years of success means that we cross over to the year 2018 with massive inventory of ambitions and projects, aiming to ensure that we play an imperative role in supporting the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030," Sheikha Hanadi said.
Since its inception in 2007, Injaz Qatar has reached more than 32,000 students across 60 schools and seven universities, thanks to 85 corporate partners and more than 1,500 corporate volunteers.
Injaz Qatar offers programmes in preparatory schools, high schools, universities and youth centres across Qatar.
With the help of its active corporate volunteer community, Injaz is able to reach students from Grade 2 to the University.
The corporate volunteers serve as inspiring role models for the youth, sharing their real-life work and entrepreneurship experiences and advice.
The ceremony was attended by key dignitaries, donors, partners, volunteers, school principals and supporters who have been continuously supporting Injaz Qatar over the past decade.
The ceremony outlined the future plans of the organisation to address the needs and challenges of how they all can continue to empower the youth of Qatar to own their economic success.
Addressing supporters and partners, INJAZ Qatar CEO Emad al Khaja said,"INJAZ Qatar marks its 10 years in Qatar by empowering our youth to own their economic success, inspiring a generation of young entrepreneurs and connecting the youth of Qatar with inspirational mentors.
"We truly believe that the youth need someone to look up to and guide them on the path of success. Engaging programmes, partnerships and collaboration, community engagement is engrained in our overall model of success. Like any organisation, we face challenges, but we embrace them. We are finding sustainable approaches, new partnerships, inspiring leaders and mentors ” all of which will build a future that is open, connected, and purposeful," he added.
