No walk-ins will be accepted at the COVID-19 vaccination centre at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC), the Ministry of Public Health has said.
It is an invite-only vaccination centre, the ministry stressed, adding that all attendees are required to show SMS invite upon arrival.
The vaccination campaign against COVID-19 has picked up pace in Qatar, with 134,498 doses being administered in the past seven days, according to the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH).

So far, the MoPH has administered 594,613 vaccine doses, which means 18.2 percent of the country’s adult population or one in six adults have received at least one vaccine dose.
According to the MoPH, about 66.8 percent of people over 60 years have received at least one dose.
Similarly, 69.4 percent of people over 70 years have received at least one dose. Over 70 percent of people over 80 years of age have received at least one dose.
Meanwhile, the MoPH has started to collect feedback about any side effects of the COVID-19 vaccine.
The ministry has included a COVID-19 vaccination feedback section in the microsite of MoPH dedicated for details about vaccination.
“It is very important that we collect and monitor any side effects that people are having from the COVID-19 vaccine,” said the ministry.
“It is important to record symptoms for all the doses. So please note you need to submit feedback for each dose separately,” it added.
