Qatar on Tuesday strongly condemned the aggression of Israeli police and settlers against Jerusalemites at the Damascus Gate, saying it was a provocation of Muslims all over the world, and a continuation of the Israeli occupation's provocation of the Palestinian people.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed, in a statement today, the State of Qatar's position of rejecting any assault on human rights, using violence against unarmed civilians, and putting barricades to impede the access to Al Aqsa cost, which is denying them of their religious rights and a violation of international law.
The statement added that the State of Qatar stresses the importance of having the international community move urgently to end these acts of aggression.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs renewed the State of Qatar's firm belief in the fairness of the Palestinian cause and the rights of the Palestinian people in exercising their religious beliefs and in establishing an independent state on the borders of 1967, with East Al Quds as its capital.
