IAEA praises Qatar for promoting peaceful use of nuclear energy

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has praised the progress made by Qatar, represented by the Ministry of Municipality and Environment, in promoting peaceful uses of nuclear energy in the agricultural, industrial, medical, and research fields, as the national supervisory authority to regulate these uses. This came as the MME, represented by the Radiation and Chemicals Protection Department, held a meeting via videoconferencing with IAEA. IAEA officials and liaison officers in Qatar affirmed the continuation and strengthening of this fruitful cooperation. page 2
