BAMAKO: At least 12 soldiers were killed in two subsequent terrorist attacks in central Mali, the Defence Ministry said on Tuesday.
Unknown terrorists first attacked a post of the Malian army in the town of Sokoura, in the Mopti region, on Monday night, killing nine soldiers and wounding several others, it said. Military reinforcements dispatched in response to the onslaught were attacked on Tuesday morning near a bridge in the same area, according to a statement from the ministry. (DPA)
