The Ministry of Education and Higher Education has announced that the third or booster dose of Pfizer and Moderna vaccines against COVID-19 will be provided at all health centres without prior appointment to teachers, administrative staff, and students in public and private schools who meet the appropriate conditions.
In a circular sent to schools on Thursday, the ministry said, “We kindly ask you to confirm that school staff and students from the age of 12 and above get the booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccine by going to any health centre without a prior appointment, as soon as they are eligible to receive it.”
“This arises from the importance of providing a safe study environment for our students, and in co-ordination with the Primary Health Care Corporation to combat the spread of the novel coronavirus.”
