Qatar Charity (QC) has distributed winter essentials to some 500 workers in Qatar, while 700 other workers are expected to receive the same from Qatar Charity in the coming days.
The distribution of winter essentials comes as part of Qatar Charity’s continuing ‘Warmth and Peace’ winter drive.
The winter essentials were distributed, in cooperation with the Ministry of Municipality, to Al Daayen and Al Shamal municipality workers, in addition to company workers in Al Shahaniya and in other places across the country.
The winter essentials distributed by Qatar Charity to the workers included warm clothes, jackets, blankets, which will help keep the workers properly warm, especially in the early morning and late nights of winter.
Qatar Charity’s Programme and Community Development Department Director Fatima Jumah Al Mohannadi underlined the keenness of Qatar Charity to provide its services to the various section of the community, stressing that as part of its attention towards the workers within the country, Qatar Charity organises a variety of programmes and activities for them, and provides winter essentials to them to meet their winter needs.
She added that distributing the winter essentials to the workers is a form of social solidarity with them and an appreciation of their works.
During the distribution, Rashid Al Khayarin, director of the Municipality of Al Daayen, thanked Qatar Charity for supporting the workers.
He also said Qatar Charity made them happy by distributing the winter essentials to them, as it always does, in recognition of their tremendous efforts and significant contributions to the success of many projects and the beautification of public parks and places around the country.
Hassan Khalifa Al Faihani, director of the Services Affairs Department at the Municipality of Al Shamal, praised Qatar Charity’s continuous support for the workers and meeting their winter needs by distributing necessary items to them.
The workers expressed their happiness with the receiving of the winter essentials.
Delighted with the winter bag provided by Qatar Charity, Mohammad Rostom said that it will help him stay warm in the cold time, especially these days, hoping for Qatar Charity’s continued support for the workers in the country. Mohammad Siraj thanked the benefactors in Qatar for keeping them warm in this cold winter.
