His Highness the Amir of State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Economic Affairs and Investment (SCEAI), chaired the council’s first meeting of 2022 at the Amiri Diwan on Tuesday. HH the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani, Deputy Chairman of the council, attended the meeting along with Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, Executive Member of the council, and members of the council. The council reviewed the decisions and recommendations made in the fourth meeting of 2021 and the project follow-up report. The council also discussed the country’s economic priorities and took appropriate decisions in this regard. Also, the council was briefed on the presentation on financial technology (FinTech) and the banking sector, the strategy of the industrial sector in the country, and the latest developments of the Qatar Free Zones Authority (QFZA) and the Investment Promotion Agency of Qatar (IPA Qatar). The council discussed the topics listed on its agenda and took the appropriate decisions in this regard. (QNA)
